Stephanie True Moss

May 05, 2018 in Alumni News

The UGA Cortona family is one fewer, since we lost our dear friend and constant supporter Stephanie True Moss  to Lymphoma on Thursday, April 26. An alumna of summer 1976, Stephanie loved Cortona and the UGA program, and gave endlessly of her time and professional expertise to promote our mission over the years. She was a founding member of the CIAO Board serving in communications, social media, new membership and countless other ways. She worked tirelessly to help make the 40th Anniversary Celebration and Reunion in Atlanta the smashing, legendary success it was. Stephanie did not rest until the summer class of 1976 was the best represented at the reunion and enjoyed reconnecting with everyone.

Below are a few photos of her visit to campus in September of 2015, when she met with our students, showed them the sketchbook she made when she was a student here, told them how our program had changed her life, and passionately urged them to take full advantage of their study abroad experience. Thank you, Stephanie, for the gifts of your friendship, your advocacy, your talent, your personality, and your passion. We will miss you more than we can possibly express.

You can find Stephanie's obituary here.
