The Sad Loss of Our Gino

August 30, 2016 in Cortona News, Program News

On August 23 we lost one of our oldest and dearest friends in Cortona, the beloved Gino. Countless generations of UGA Cortona students knew him, and played bocce, danced, learned some Italian, stomped grapes, and attended Sagre with him. He loved UGA and the students he met over the years; he took care of our buildings and our grounds and many of us as well. If you have a story or a remembrance of Gino, please post it here, and if you have photos to share, message them to us and we’ll include them in this album. RIP Gino, UGA Cortona will not be the same without you…
