Alum Carol Acquilano publishes “A Sketchbook of Cortona”

Carol Acquilano attended Cortona in summer session of 1981 and returned to Cortona with the UGA Studies Abroad Program during the fall of 1985 as Artist in Residence. Since then Carol has returned to Cortona 10 times to draw and paint the town and landscape.

She has been on the curatorial staff at The University of Rochester Memorial Art gallery since 1990, and is preparator for the permanent collection. Carol is also an art instructor at the State University of New York, Empire State College. Her work has been in several exhibitions recently, visit her website front page for detailed descriptions of the shows. At her site you will definitely enjoy perusing her online galleries where you will find Cortona at every turn!
